Privacy Policy
Effective date: Testing phase — final launch date TBA
In plain language: We collect what we need to run Becomely — your email, the promise you’re keeping, your daily check-ins, your reflections, and any photos you choose to add as proof. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show you ads, and we don’t share your personal reflections with anyone. Razorpay handles your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
Becomely is built by MAAY Intelligence Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in India and headquartered in Nashik, Maharashtra. For the purposes of Indian data protection law, MAAY Intelligence Pvt. Ltd. is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
2. What Becomely is right now
Becomely is in founding-member testing. That affects this policy too: our systems, vendors, and storage setup may change as we move out of testing, and we’ll update this page whenever they do. We’ll never quietly expand what we collect without updating this notice first.
3. What we collect
| Category | What it includes | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Email address, and name if you provide it | To create your account and contact you about it |
| Promise data | The promise you set, your chosen timeline, daily check-in (kept/broke) | This is the core of the app — it doesn’t work without it |
| Reflections | Your nightly reflection text, your Day 1 letter | To hand back to you later, as designed |
| Photos | Any proof photo you choose to take | Optional — only collected if you use this feature |
| Together feed content | Anonymous posts you choose to share in the Together feed (if you use it) | To display back to the community feed; you can delete your own posts anytime |
| Payment metadata | Subscription status, plan, billing dates — not your card or UPI details | Razorpay processes and stores actual payment instruments; we only see the outcome (paid/failed/renewed) |
| Technical data | Device type, app version, IP address, basic usage/crash logs | To keep the app working and fix bugs, especially important during testing |
4. How we use it
We use your data only to: run the app’s core features, respond when you contact support, understand where Becomely is breaking so we can fix it, and process your subscription. We do not use your reflections, photos, or promise data to train external AI models, and we do not sell or rent your data to any third party, for any reason.
5. About your photos, specifically
Proof photos are personal — often literally photos of you or your life. They’re stored securely, tied to your account, and used for exactly one purpose: showing them back to you as part of your own record. We do not use them for marketing, we do not make them public without your explicit action and consent, and we do not use them to train any AI system.
6. Who we share data with
We share data with the minimum set of vendors needed to run Becomely:
- Razorpay, to process payments (governed by Razorpay’s own privacy policy for your payment instrument data)
- Anthropic (Claude), to generate the AI-composed portions of the “Letters to You” feature. Only the minimum text needed to compose a letter is sent; no photos, no account identifiers beyond a pseudonymous session, and no reflections outside the specific letter request. Anthropic acts as a sub-processor and does not use your content to train its models.
- Cloud infrastructure providers, to host the app and store your data securely
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies that resell data. If that ever changes, we’ll say so here first.
7. Together feed
If you post to the Together feed, your post is displayed anonymously to other Becomely users. We don’t attach your email or personal identifiers to public posts. You can delete your own posts at any time from within the app. Content you delete is removed from public view immediately and purged from our systems within 30 days.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data — including reflections and photos — within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain billing records for tax/accounting purposes under Indian law (typically up to 8 years for financial records).
9. Your rights
Under Indian data protection law, you have the right to: know what data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, withdraw consent at any time, ask us to erase your data, and file a grievance if you believe we’ve mishandled your data. To exercise any of these, email us at support@becomely.club — we aim to resolve requests within 30 days, and no later than 90 days as required by law.
10. Age requirement
Becomely is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we’ll delete it.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data — encrypted storage and transmission, restricted internal access. No system is perfectly secure, and as a testing-phase product, we’re still hardening ours. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal data, we’ll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
12. Cookies and analytics
We use minimal, essential cookies to keep you logged in, and basic analytics to understand how people use the app (not to build advertising profiles). We don’t use third-party ad-tracking cookies.
13. Changes to this policy
We’ll update the date at the top of this page whenever we make changes, and for material changes, we’ll email you directly rather than relying on you to check back.
